This bench with storage below the seats was made for the entry hall, and has many features in common with the Blacker House chairs, although the construction is simpler. The legs are rectangular, and the rail at the top of the back isn’t curved in plan.
This form of bench was typical in the Arts & Crafts period, and is a practical and popular form. The seats are hinged, lifting up to give access to storage space below.
Plans include detailed drawings printed on two 24″ X 36″ sheets.
