Craftsman Furniture – an iconic American Furniture style from the early 1900s

Frequently called Mission, Arts & Crafts or Prairie style furniture this style was developed and popularized by Gustav Stickley. When I was learning the trade of cabinetmaking my favorite books were measured drawings of different furniture styles, but none existed for my favorite style. Eventually I decided to create one and began research of original pieces. In 2001 “Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture” was published. In 2007 it was named as one of “27 Books Every Woodworker Should Read” by Fine Woodworking magazine. I began selling my books and plans based on the drawings in my books in 2002.
